About Chappell Croft Nursery

We aim to provide a safe and fun environment in which a parent can feel confident that their child will be happy and secure during their days with us.

Our setting believes that care and education are equally important in the experience which we offer children. The routines and activities that make up the day in the nursery are provided in ways that:

  • provide children with opportunities to learn and help them to value learning
  • help each child to feel that she/he is a valued member of the setting
  • ensure the safety of each child
  • help children to gain from the social experince of being part of a group

We accept 50 children from 0-5 years of age.

All meals are provided - breakfast, lunch and tea prepared daily in our own kitchen along with drinks and healthy snacks.

Opening Hours

We are open Monday to Friday 7.30 am - 6.00 pm, 51 weeks of the year.

The fees are payable throughout the year. Days away ill, family holidays, periods of absence and Bank Holidays will be charged at the normal rate.

A deposit equivalent to one weeks fees will be needed to secure a place. If the place is taken up, the deposit will then be deducted from your first months fees. If however your place is not taken up, this fee is non-refundable. Your first months fees must be paid before your start date.

Fees are payable on the 1st of the month. We accept cash, cheque (made payable to Chappell Croft Nursery), vouchers, standing order or debit/credit card. We can help you set up your payment scheme when you register with us.

For your child to keep his/her place at the nursery you must pay the fees. Anyone who allows their fees to fall 2 weeks in arrears will immediately forfeit their right to a nursery place. The child will be excluded from the nursery unless the account is brought up to date.

Four weeks notice of leaving, changing or decreasing sessions is required.

Exclusions due to ill health must be strictly adhered to, according to Environmental Health Regulations. We are sure parents will understand, so as to reduce the risk of cross infection, children must remain at home. A list of exclusions can be obtained upon request.

Children's Development and Learning

Having fun and experiencing new things is a vital way for young children to learn. At our setting we use the Early Years Foundation Stage. A framework that will take your child through to the end of the reception year at school.

Chappell Croft provides this by...

  • providing flexible resources and activities
  • planning, observing and evaluating our children, so we can support their individual stages of development
  • offering a stimulating, challenging but secure environment
  • understanding that every area of development - physical, cognitive, linguistic, spiritual, social and emotional - are equally important
  • our staff recognising that children have different ways of learning
  • making sure our equipment, experiences and toys cover the framework's "7 Areas of Learning" - Personal, Social and Emotional, Physical, Communication and Language, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts & Design
